Responsible AI at Summiters Consulting

Effective Date: July 29, 2026

Last Updated: July 29, 2026

Our Commitment

Summiters Consulting uses artificial intelligence tools to support marketing strategy, content development, research, workflow design, automated assessments, and client delivery. AI can improve speed, organization, and consistency, but it also has limits. We use AI in ways intended to protect client information, preserve brand voice, and keep the work grounded in strategy rather than generic output.

Our delivery model includes both human-led services and automated products. In advisory and consulting engagements, client-facing strategy, messaging, recommendations, and deliverables are reviewed by a person before delivery. Some digital assessments, scans, and reports are generated automatically and are not individually reviewed before delivery unless the relevant offer expressly includes human review. We identify those products as automated and explain their limits.

This policy describes our public commitments and working practices. It does not mean Summiters Consulting is certified, endorsed, or formally accredited under any artificial intelligence governance framework.

1. Principles We Follow

Transparency

We explain when AI materially affects how a product or service is delivered. Automated products are identified as automated. For advisory and consulting engagements, we disclose that deliverables, strategic frameworks, research, and messaging are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools, subject to human review and strategic direction.

Data Protection and Minimization

We limit the information entered into AI tools to what is reasonably necessary for the task. We avoid unnecessary use of sensitive, regulated, or highly confidential information and remove direct identifiers where practical.

Human Oversight

People make the final decisions on client-facing strategy, messaging, recommendations, and deliverables in human-led services. Oversight of automated products occurs through tool design, logic and prompt review, pre-launch testing, periodic sampling, error investigation, and product updates. It does not mean that a person reviews every automated result before delivery.

Fairness and Inclusion

Human-led deliverables are reviewed for bias, tone, exclusionary assumptions, and language that could misrepresent or flatten an audience. Automated products are tested before launch and periodically reviewed for patterns that can create unfair, misleading, or exclusionary results. No review process can guarantee that an AI-assisted output is free from bias or error.

Accuracy and Reliability

We do not treat AI output as automatically accurate, complete, current, compliant, or ready to publish. For human-led work, material factual claims and sources are reviewed when accuracy is important to the deliverable. Users of automated products remain responsible for reviewing results before relying on or implementing them.

Accountability and Ongoing Improvement

We periodically review our AI tools, use cases, safeguards, and workflows. Reviews can consider functionality, information sensitivity, available provider settings, reliability, errors, user feedback, legal changes, and whether a tool remains appropriate for the intended task.

Compliance Awareness

We use the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and its Generative AI Profile as voluntary reference points. We also monitor laws and requirements that apply to our services, clients, and uses of AI. These references do not mean Summiters Consulting is certified, endorsed, or formally accredited under any framework.

2. How We Use AI

Summiters Consulting uses AI as a support tool. Depending on the product or service, some of the ways AI may be used include:

  • Draft, revise, summarize, and organize content.

  • Organize research and identify themes or patterns.

  • Support marketing planning, message development, and workflow design.

  • Generate first drafts, outlines, options, and working concepts.

  • Review content for clarity, structure, tone, and consistency.

  • Support internal efficiency, documentation, and quality checks.

  • Generate results for clearly identified automated assessments, scans, or reports.

  • Test workflows, prompts, scoring logic, and product reliability.

AI does not make the final strategic decisions in our human-led advisory and consulting work. Client approval and responsibility for final use remain part of the delivery process.

3. Human-Led Services

For advisory and consulting engagements, a person reviews client-facing strategy, messaging, recommendations, and deliverables before they are shared. Human review can include checking logic, relevance, brand alignment, tone, material factual claims, sources where needed, and whether the work addresses the agreed objective.

Human review reduces risk but does not guarantee that a deliverable is error-free, legally compliant for every use, or suitable without client review. Clients remain responsible for final approval, implementation, and decisions based on the work.

4. Automated Products

Some assessments, scans, quizzes, applications, and reports are fully automated. Unless the offer expressly states otherwise:

  • The result is generated from the information the user provides and the logic built into the tool.

  • A person does not review the user’s individual inputs or output before delivery.

  • Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, or outdated inputs can produce incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, or outdated results.

  • The output can contain errors, omissions, unsupported assumptions, or incomplete reasoning.

  • The user must review the result before relying on, publishing, or implementing it.

As currently offered, our automated products are not designed or used to determine or materially influence decisions about a person that produce legal or similarly significant effects, including decisions concerning employment, credit, housing, insurance, education enrollment, or access to essential services.

5. Selecting and Using Third-Party AI Tools

Summiters Consulting selects AI tools based on functionality, suitability for the task, and the sensitivity of the information involved. We do not represent that we independently audit, certify, or conduct a technical security assessment of every provider.

Because third-party providers control their own systems, policies, and infrastructure, our primary safeguards focus on how we use the tool and what information we provide. Our practices include:

  • Limiting client information to what is reasonably necessary for the task.

  • Removing names, contact details, and other direct identifiers where practical.

  • Avoiding unnecessary entry of sensitive, regulated, or highly confidential information.

  • Using available privacy, security, access, and data-control settings when appropriate.

  • Restricting access to client materials to people who need them for the work.

  • Reviewing AI-assisted work according to the type of product or service being delivered.

  • Changing or discontinuing a tool when known risks outweigh its business value.

Third-party providers process information under their own terms, privacy notices, configurations, and contractual commitments. We cannot independently verify every aspect of a provider’s internal operation. Our Privacy Policy explains how third-party service providers can process personal information in connection with our Site and services.

6. Client Information and AI Model Training

Summiters Consulting does not submit identifiable assessment responses, generated reports, or client materials for the purpose of training general-purpose artificial intelligence models. Third-party providers may retain or process submitted content under their own terms, configurations, and contractual commitments. We limit the information submitted and use available settings intended to restrict retention or model improvement where practical, but we cannot independently verify every provider’s internal handling.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to test workflows, improve reliability, measure performance, and develop products, provided that the information does not reasonably identify a person or client.

We do not use identifiable assessment responses, generated reports, or client materials in public case studies, marketing examples, or promotional content without prior written permission, including approval provided by email or in a signed agreement.

7. Protecting Client Information

We take reasonable steps to protect client information when AI tools are used. These steps include:

  • Matching the information shared to the task and business need.

  • Limiting access to client materials.

  • Avoiding unnecessary entry of sensitive information into general AI tools.

  • Using available privacy and data-control settings when appropriate.

  • Maintaining confidentiality expectations with staff, contractors, and advisors.

  • Reviewing human-led client deliverables before delivery.

  • Testing and periodically reviewing automated tools and workflows.

Clients should not submit sensitive personal information, regulated data, health information, financial account credentials, government identification numbers, trade secrets, or confidential third-party materials unless Summiters Consulting has agreed in writing before submission that the information is necessary for the work and appropriate safeguards are in place.

8. What We Do Not Use AI For

Summiters Consulting does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, or other regulated professional advice. AI-assisted content should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

We do not treat AI output as automatically accurate, complete, compliant, original, or ready to publish. We do not knowingly submit protected third-party materials to an AI tool without authority to use them. Clients, contractors, and other contributors are responsible for confirming that they have the right to provide any third-party materials they submit for the work.

9. Accuracy, Sources, Originality, and Intellectual Property

AI-generated information can contain errors, outdated information, invented citations, or incomplete analysis. For human-led client work, we review material factual claims and sources when accuracy is important to the deliverable. The level of review depends on the purpose, risk, and scope of the work.

AI-generated material is not automatically original, exclusive, or eligible for intellectual-property protection. We review client-facing creative work for obvious copying, attribution concerns, and fit with the client’s brand and purpose. We do not guarantee that raw AI output is unique or that it can be owned or protected under intellectual-property law.

10. What This Means for Clients and Customers

In advisory and consulting work, your strategy remains human-led. AI can support research, drafting, organization, and quality review, but the final client-facing work is reviewed for clarity, logic, relevance, brand alignment, and usefulness.

Automated products are clearly identified and operate differently. Their results are delivered without individual human review unless the offer says otherwise. Customers should review automated results and use them as informational tools rather than guaranteed conclusions or professional advice.

11. Ongoing Review and Policy Changes

Summiters Consulting periodically reviews its AI tools, use cases, safeguards, and workflows. We can update this policy as our services, systems, providers, legal obligations, or practices change. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective or last-updated date.

12. Relationship to Other Policies

This Responsible AI Policy complements our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, offer descriptions, and client agreements. The Privacy Policy governs how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. The Terms of Use and applicable agreements govern purchases, access, service conditions, and client responsibilities.
